The levels of cortisol, a stress hormone, increases when you are either stressed or angry. This will cause negative and harmful effects on your heart, metabolism, as well as immune system. High cortisol is often associated with higher death risks.
6. Avoid Cheating your Night’s Sleep
Sleeping too little or fewer than six hours and sleeping more or over nine hours pose higher risk of death. You can get rid of stress, depression and even heart disease with the right quality and quantity of sleep.
7. Avoid Being Lazy
Exercise even for at least 30 minutes on a daily basis, five or more times per week could extend your life.
8. Avoid Letting Fear or Denial Keep your from Being Healthy
Conscientiousness is still one of the major character traits that could affect longevity.
9. Avoid Relying on or Blaming your Genes
We have no control on genetics whether it could really affect how long our life will be. It is better to focus on things that we can work on to improve our life.
